HMK® R183 Cement Film Remover for Natural Stone

HMK® R183 is an acid-based special cleaning concentrate (salt and phosphoric acid-free) for removing construction dirt, cement film and limescale from all acid-resistant natural and artificial stone as well as rough concrete surfaces. For exterior and interior use. R183 uses a combination of special cleaning agents and other active ingredients to quickly and effectively loosen and remove construction dirt, cement residue, limescale, mortar and grout residue. Designed for use on all acid resistant natural and artificial stone surfaces; granite, gneiss, sandstone, ceramic tile, brick tile, porcelain tile, rough cast sone, composite-quartz, etc.

Directions: Turn off any underfloor heating and allow the stone to cool and return to it’s natural temperature. Dampen the surface thoroughly with clean water and apply HMK R183 diluted 1:2 ro 1:10 in accordance with the level of contamination of dirt. Scrub using a scrubbing brush or a suitable floor pad. Allow a few minutes for the product to act, but do not allow it to dry; sprinkle the area with water if needed to keep the area wet. Scrub the area again and remove the dirty solution with a wet vac or by rinsing well with water. Follow by cleaning the area with R155 Intensive Cleaner (diluted 1:20 with water) which acts as a neutralizing rinse and to lift any remaining residue. Finally, rinse the entire area with clean water.

Important: Do not use on polished and fine-honed marble, limestone, decorative concrete, and other acid-sensitive stones and decorative tiles. Acid-sensitive surfaces such as painted surfaces, waxed or stained wood, enamel, anodized/ chrome equipment, metals, furnishings, and equipment such as air conditioners, lamps, computers, mirrors, plastics etc..can be damaged by direct contact with HMK R183 and its vapors; ensure that all these items/areas are well protected.

Working temperature: The ideal temperature to use this product is between 50°F and 80°F. Do not apply in direct sunlight.

Storage: Store in a cool and dry place (max. +80°F) in its original, unopened container for approx. 2 years. Once opened, use the contents as quickly as possible. Keep out of the reach of children.

Warning: Chemical product. Contains surfactants, acids, and control agents. Avoid eye and skin contact. If exposed, flush/wash with water. Keep out of reach of children. See Material Safety Data Sheet for more detailed information.

Testing: Always test the product in an inconspicuous area to evaluate suitability, coverage, and performance.
